We've had a lot of discussions and questions about bristlenose plecos lately, so I thought I'd post a photo diary I kept of my latest little bn. He's about 2.5" long including tail. I brought him home and put him in my brown-algae-covered 10g qt tank. For anyone doubting their awesome cleaning capabilites, check out the following pics.

Day 0 - Brown Algae Central!

Hangin' Out

Day 2

Plethora o' Pleco Poop! (Or, what goes in must come out! The turkey baster was my friend.)

Day 3

Don't forget the plants!

Day 4 - Clean as a whistle!

Showing off fins (and the inevitable trail of poop).

That's dissolved algae wafer in the background. He wasn't interested at first, until he realized he'd eaten himself out of brown algae.
