Goldfish and Aquarium Board - About Us

Beth (aka blb4)

Hey all, I'm Beth. I had a tropical tank years ago but when our 4th child was born I had to give it up because I just didn't have the time to take proper care of it. With the kids growing up and out of the house I have come back to fish keeping. I got a 30 g hex with some tropicals. It wasn't until that summer that my daughter and I won goldfish at a carnival and I really got into fishkeeping. We gave the commons to a friend with a pond and got some fancies. Flash forward 3 years and 16 (and counting) tanks. I now have 10 fancy goldfish: veiltail, rynkin, lionheads, telescopes, pearlscale mutts and fantails. My other tanks have angels, rummy noses, cardinals, corydoras, clown plecos, 5 different kinds of bristlenoses pleco which I am breeding, L-333 and L-260 (also breeding), Orange Flash Apistos (breeding) plus Red Delta Guppies which I have started to line breed. I am in the process of setting up a fish room so I can expand.

I love taking care of my fish. With my children growing and leaving it is helping me with my empty nest. I am a water changer slave as I do them most days.
