Featherless (Marco) is the common name of a species of Pet Owner, part of the family of the Evil Monkeys (cheekylemur[1], 2007), which originated in Italy. The Common Featherless is known to have roamed the Internet since 1994, contributing his ramblings to various message boards.
Members of the Featherless species exhibit a great love for Internet forums, used as a way to stay updated on topics, learn best practices from other Pet Owner specimens, and generally to keep in touch with critters from other areals.
As of late 2007 there were confirmed sightings of the Featherless on the GAB, one of the most content rich boards on the whole Internet regarding goldfish. There he has employed his limited stealth skills to try lead everyone into thinking is a quite reasonable Evil Monkey while scientific experiments have revealed that he is truly an Avatar, Sig and Color Nazi. In a way the Featherless seems to have built on the "Pretend-I'm-not-there" skill of the Bristlenose turning it into a "Pretend-I'm-not-".
Thus and despite some rumors about trolling the Featherless was co-opted in the GAB staff about halfway through 2009.
Habits
The Featherless likes to understand how things work and learn as much as possible about that. As for goldfish keeping, his focus reportedly is Water Quality. Photographical evidence shows he's currently running two tanks, a 230L with two common goldfish he rescued in 2007, and a 100L with 5 fries, born in April 2009. There's also proof he's a snail farmer and has applied to obtain the Prefers Pl*cos(tm) certification, unsuccessfully so far.
Featherlesses also display an unabashed love for planted tanks while abhoring barebottom ones.
Other Evil Monkeys have criticized the Featherless accusing him of loving his pets more than any Monkey. However there's some controversy on this topic as the latest developments in psychogical analysis have shown the Featherless feels responsible for the pets he owns, no matter how small or insignificant they may seem to others.
Origins of the name
The name Featherless is believed to have been coined by a passerine bird of the family of canaries known as Fatboy., after finding out that the Featherless was not only lacking plumage on body, but also a much needed tail, which the Fatboy would have liked to pull. Canaries are known to look down on non-feathery animals, leading to the moniker.
