I joined GAB 3 years ago looking for help when a babysitter gave my twin two year olds three fantails in a 5 gallon tank.  Shortly afterwards, we "won" a common and a comet at the county fair.  More help was needed.  Two months after this, a friend gave me FOUR fancies for my birthday, but left them in their plastic bags for 22 hours.  More fish came.  The people of GAB helped me through the mundane and the critical.  I now have a microscope and use it to try to identify parasites and have given my fish injections of antibiotics when needed.  GAB is an invaluable source to proper goldfish keeping and I am glad to be of any help that I can to help the newbies here.
